The Friends of Fitzray School (FOFS) is our school's Parent Teacher Associstion. It is made up of parents, caregivers, whanau and staff whose goal is to enhance opportunities for students while also strengthening community connections.
FOFS raises funds for activities, resources and experiences that sit outside the school's regular funding. Such as:
Additional classroom rescurces
Sports and cultural equipment
Special projects to benefit students and the wider school community
All funds raised go directly back into the school.
Throughout the year, FOFS organises and supports a range of events. For the students, these include discos, special lunches, and the lapathon. We also run events for parents and the wider community, such as quiz nights and golf days.
FOFS meetings are held twice per term in the evening at the school staffroom. The meetings are informal, friendly and open to anyone. These meetings also include a report from the school
Helping at events before, during and after is always appreciated. We also welcome support with behind the scenes planning and promotion. Any amount of time you can give makes a difference.
We are grateful for the support of local businesses who are able to sponsor or donate to FOFS events. If you or your business are interested in sponsoring an event, we would love to hear from you.
