Board of Trustees

The Fitzroy School Board of Trustees consists of five community elected parents, an elected Staff representative, our Principal and Deputy Principal and a Board appointed secretary. 

Our current Board of Trustees are :

Our Board proudly represents our community and strives to ensure our community aspirations are met.

School Strategic Plan

Our strategic plan developed by the Board, after consultation with students, staff, Māori whanau ropu and our community will ensure:

• our school gives effect to Te Tiriti o Waitangi

• every student is able to attain their highest possible standard in educational achievement

• our school is physically and emotionally safe

• our school is inclusive of, and caters for, students with differing needs

• Leaders and teachers develop and implement a curriculum for students that

  1. 1. 1. is guided by the Vision set out in Te Mataiaho

        2. is underpinned by the Principles set out in Te Mataiaho

        3. values are encouraged, modelled and explored by students, staff and whānau

        4. supports students to develop Key Competencies set out in Te Mataiaho

        5. provides all students with effectively taught learning and teaching programmes in all learning areas.

Policies and Procedures

Our school is governed by policies and procedures.  The Board of Trustees are responsible for ensuring they are implemented.   The policies and procedures are tailored to our school.  SchoolDocs updates, modifies, or creates policies in response to changes in legislation or Ministry guidelines, significant events, reviews/requests from schools, and regular reviewing from the SchoolDocs team. Our board of trustees, staff and community have the opportunity to view changes/additions and comment on them before they are implemented.
