How do I find out about my child's progress?

The school reports to parents on student progress twice per year. The mid year report consists of a written report which is used as a guide for an interview between parent/student/teacher. These are held mid year and parents are invited to make an appointment for these interviews online. Information about how to go about this is issued prior to the interviews taking place.

At the end of the year the students are issued with a final written report for the year.

At any time during the year parents are welcome to make an appointment with their child's teacher to discuss their child's learning.

How often is the school newsletter published?

The school newsletter is our premier source of communication with parents and the wider community. The newsletter is published every second Friday of the term starting from week 2 and emailed to all caregivers. If you are not receiving these please check your "Junk" folder on your email client and/or check with the school office to see whether we have your correct email address. There are a few hard copies printed if you prefer, these can be collected from the school office or alternatively you can download the lastest copy from the link on the bottom of the school's home page.

Please check with the school if you are unsure whether you are within the school's zone or catchment area. In most circumstances, children who live outside the zone are not eligible for enrolment.

Further information for parents about an enrolment scheme can be found on the Ministry of Education website.

How do I enrol my child?

Ring the office to add your child to the pre enrolment list.  Approx 8-10 weeks before your child turns 5 or if you have moved to the Fitzroy area, phone the office to make an appointment with our Deputy Principal Heather Weston to complete the enrolment paperwork and to organise school visits.

Refer to:  Office | Enrolments for further details.
