As part of our long term planning, during 2011 the Board identified that there are areas within our school that could be better utilised or upgraded to meet the needs of our Fitzroy Family.

A multi-year rejuvenation project for our school was decided upon.

Richard Bain+ Landscape Architects were contracted to collate ideas and suggestions into an overall design concept.  The theme brief included a "West Coast, beachy look incorporating the local Fitzroy environment. and to be user friendly".  

The master plan design concept 19.12.11. L3.1  has now been split into areas of interest within the school (defined by colours on the attached plan).   Plan 18.11.11

The short term focus for the Board will be the green area - encompassing outside the junior classroom area, swimming pool and school entrances.  For this stage Richard Bain+ Landscape Architects have been contracted to provide a detailed design plan.  This plan will enable the Board to allocate / apply for funding and make decisions around the Dental Clinic, extra storage requirements, a new hardcourt & sandpit area, re-define the current entrance near the Dental Clinic, complete the swimming pool area upgrade and update the planting at the Sackville and Clemow Road entrances.

The Board has agreed to these in principle and are in the process of obtaining quotes before committing to them.
